Emma Soy is an author and speaker with a passion for healing the hearts and souls of the sick. A registered nurse of 20 years, as well as an ordained minister, she thrives when aiding at a hospital bedside or preaching from a church pulpit. Described by family and friends as caring, steadfast, and full of life, her life's mission is to restore physical and spiritual health through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and help all people live out their God-given purpose on Earth.
Founder of Women Seeking the Father Ministry, a movement calling Christian women to embrace God as their heavenly father and to seek His heart first. The Ministry was founded out of Soy's personal longing to build a relationship with her earthly father, whom she didn't meet until her adult years. Upon their meeting, she was ultimately rejected. The absence of a father figure in her life caused emotional emptiness throughout her childhood and manifested in poor eating habits and financial decisions as an adult. For many years, she battled fibromyalgia, a syndrome characterized by fatigue, tenderness and chronic pain in the muscles and soft tissues surrounding joints. Low self-esteem drove her to retreat from the world, finding comfort only in isolation. Finally, the grace of God prevailed. The ministry she founded to bless others became her own miracle.
After nine years of organizing women's retreats to her native Haiti, the relationships she forged gave her the courage and strength to turn a new leaf. Now, the mother of two, wife, nurse, and ordained minister is more than 40 pounds lighter and pursing a healthier lifestyle. Her passion is empowering women around the world to create optimal health, wealth, and beauty.
"I help sick people to restore health so that they can live their purpose in life. And, as a minister, I do the same. I help spiritually sick people to restore their lives in Jesus Christ," says Emma. Whether aiding a patient at a hospital bedside or preaching from the church pulpit, Soy's mission in life is to boldly teach the Word of God and help people draw nearer to His heart. Soy earned a nursing degree from North Park University and a master's degree in theological studies from Liberty University. She spends her leisure time reading, journaling, singing, and enjoying spa treatments.
